1. Browsing and quiz data
You can use the public quiz and discovery guides without signing in. Quiz answers, progress, the session’s displayed-title exclusions, rejection feedback, and a session seed are kept in your browser’s session storage. Matching runs in your browser; these quiz answers are not sent to our viewing-history database.
Session storage normally lasts for the browser-tab session. Browser restore features may preserve it longer. “Start over” clears the quiz state and begins a new quiz; closing the tab or clearing site data also affects browser storage. If storage is blocked, the quiz uses temporary in-memory state.
2. Optional sign-in and saved history
If you choose Sign in with ChatGPT, the hosting platform supplies a Site-specific user identifier, your email address, and an optional display name. We use the identifier to associate records with your account, and the email or display name to show which account is signed in. We do not collect or store your ChatGPT password.
When you save a watched title or viewing preference, our database stores your user identifier, watched-title identifiers and the time they were saved, your new-title or rewatch preference, and its update time. The application’s viewing-history tables do not store your email address or display name.
Saved history is not a public profile. Other visitors cannot browse it. The site operator and service providers may access stored records as needed to operate the service, resolve problems, or respond to verified requests.
3. How we use information
We use saved history to remember watched titles across devices and apply your chosen new-title or rewatch setting. Technical information is used to deliver pages, maintain sign-in, diagnose errors, and protect the service. We use messages you send us to respond to enquiries, correct catalog information, or handle privacy requests.
We do not sell saved viewing histories or provide them to an advertising network. Quiz recommendations are calculated from editorial matching rules rather than requests to a generative AI service.
4. Cookies, hosting, and technical information
The quiz uses browser session storage as described above. OpenAI Sites provides hosting and Sign in with ChatGPT; Cloudflare infrastructure provides delivery and database storage. These services may use essential cookies and process network information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and security or error logs to operate the site and sign-in flow.
Provider processing is also described in OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Provider-controlled security logs and their retention are governed by the applicable service arrangements and policies, rather than the quiz’s session-storage controls.
5. Posters, video thumbnails, links, and browser assistants
Posters load from external image hosts, including IMDb’s image infrastructure, TVmaze, and YouTube’s thumbnail infrastructure. Loading an image sends that host the network information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address and browser request information. Our poster elements use a no-referrer setting. Visiting an external metadata or source link takes you to a service governed by its own policies. “Watch on YouTube” opens YouTube in a new tab. We do not embed a YouTube player or share quiz answers or saved history with YouTube. YouTube may process your activity when you visit its service.
If you use a browser assistant that supports the site’s quiz tools, those tools can read the current quiz question and recommendation and perform quiz actions. The assistant provider handles that interaction under its own privacy policy. Using an assistant is optional.
6. Advertising and analytics
We have added Google AdSense ownership verification and an ads.txt record so Google can review the site. These verification records do not load Google’s advertising script. Ad loading is currently disabled while the consent setup is completed.
When Google advertising is enabled, Google and participating advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your choices and the applicable settings, personalized advertising may use information about previous visits to this or other websites. Ad requests can include technical information such as IP address, browser details, and the page being viewed. We do not send quiz answers, saved watched-title lists, account identifiers, names, or email addresses to Google’s ad code.
You can manage Google’s personalized advertising through My Ad Center. Learn more about Google’s advertising technologies and Google’s privacy policy. Additional industry opt-out choices are available through YourAdChoices. Where a consent message is offered, use its options to manage the choices it covers. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove advertising or essential cookie processing.
Advertising will only be activated after a Google-certified consent setup is in place for applicable visitors. We have not added a separate audience-analytics service or affiliate links. Advertising does not determine our guide selections or the quiz’s matching rules.
7. Retention and your controls
Saved watched history and viewing preferences remain in the database while you use the account, until individual records are removed or a verified deletion request is fulfilled. Removing a title in My history deletes that watched-title entry from the application database. Restarting the quiz or signing out does not delete your saved history.
You can change your viewing preference or remove watched titles in My history. You can also clear site data through your browser, although this does not remove server-side account records. Contact samad@sckitzor.com to request access, correction, or deletion of account records. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account before acting.
Information needed to handle an enquiry may be retained in the correspondence used to resolve it. Legal obligations or provider backup and security processes may require limited retention after a deletion request.
8. Security and processing locations
We use HTTPS and check signed-in identity on the server before reading or changing viewing history. Database operations are scoped to that authenticated user. No system can guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
9. Children and family content
Family guides help people choose gentler stories; they are not invitations to submit children’s personal information. The site is intended for a general audience, and we do not ask for a child’s name or birth date. Parents and guardians can use the public guides with children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, please contact us.
10. Questions and policy updates
Your privacy rights depend on where you live. You may contact us with a privacy question or a request relating to information we hold. This policy does not limit rights that apply under local law. We will update this page when the site’s data practices change and revise the date at the top.
