What we’re here for
A huge catalog can make a simple evening feel like homework. We narrow the choice to one movie or show at a time, with an explanation tied to what you actually told us. You can also browse our discovery guides for a small selection built around a particular kind of evening.
How the quiz works
The full quiz asks 18 adaptive questions. After the four opening questions, you can choose “Recommend now” to use only your submitted answers. The opening questions establish movies, shows, or long-form YouTube, your content comfort zone, mood, and available time. Later questions adapt to your answers and the titles still in the running.
Format and content limits are firm restrictions. Pace, tone, themes, setting, and viewing time influence the ranking. New quizzes vary among similarly useful questions and equally fitting titles, while your current path stays stable when you go back or refresh.
The recommendations use editorial tags and matching rules. They are not generated by an AI model, and we don’t display invented confidence scores. “Not for me” adjusts the current quiz; “Seen it” moves on to another title.
A catalog with context
Our collection contains 300 movies, 300 shows, and 300 YouTube videos of at least 20 minutes across different eras, languages, genres, and moods. Synopses, guide commentary, taste tags, and content notes are written for cheetahlabeef. Factual metadata is sourced from Wikipedia, IMDb, TVmaze, and official YouTube pages, with individual links beside each featured pick.
Content tiers are editorial guidance, not official age ratings. A family selection may still include peril or emotional themes. Episode lengths are approximate; series counts and status reflect the catalog’s source check. We don’t provide current movie or show streaming availability. YouTube picks include a direct watch link, channel, and video length; availability can change. YouTube content guidance is based on topic and source information rather than full viewing of every video.
TVmaze metadata is adapted under CC BY-SA 4.0. Posters belong to their respective rights holders. cheetahlabeef is an independent discovery site and is not affiliated with the studios or catalog sources.
Optional history, your choice
The quiz and discovery guides are public. Sign in with ChatGPT if you want to save watched titles across devices. Your viewing preference can exclude watched titles, mix them with new discoveries, or focus on rewatches. Restarting a quiz does not erase saved history.
